THE GOAL
Val Kilmer wanted to relaunch his brand presence right before the movie “Maverick” Top Gun 2 with Tom Cruise was to be released. He hired EG through a well known Hollywood Agent and was very adamant about exploring new content for social media like the clip you see above. While managing his brand and social media Val asked us to document his life for an autobiography which ended up being the Amazon documentary “Val”.
STRATEGY
Create a content strategy around some of his biggest films and characters including Batman, Doc Holliday, Jim Morrison and Ice Man from Top Gun to generate new engagement and followers for his social media. Shoot weekly behind the scenes footage to capture his current state for his upcoming documentary. Drive traffic back to his main website to increase sales for his Artwork.
TACTICS
Edit over 100 social media videos using a library of old footage, movie clips, interviews, photos and articles from Val’s past. Post twice a day on social media. Email blast weekly. Travel and shoot Val at various locations, events, meet and greets and at his Cinema Twain shows. Digitize footage and edit new content for his loyal followers within a 24hr turnaround. Drive traffic back to his main website where his artwork was sold.
